Wellington’s Lauren Beer represented Wellington at the 2022 Yale Invitational in New Haven, Connecticut, and experienced one of the highlights of Coach Paul Gaba’s tenure: a chance meeting with U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) at the campus Starbucks. (FYI, Warren was a star member of her high school debate team and won the title of “Oklahoma’s top high school debater.” She also won a debate scholarship to George Washington University – at the age of 16.)
