Wellington Community High School hosted the 2024 Florida Forensic Leae Varsity State Championship in March. The Red Dawn Debaters had four semifinalists at the tournament: Ahna Guillaume, in Program of Oral Interpretation; Melody Pratz in United States Extemporaneous Speaking; and the Duo Interpretation team of Diego Calderon and Michael Diaz. They were among the 10 Red Dawn Debaters who qualified to represent Wolverine Nation at the state championship; also qualifying were Ahna Guillaume in Dramatic Interpretation, Izzy Parissos in Humorous Interpretation, Connor Mack in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, Olivia Winton in Original Oratory, and the Public Forum Debate team of Emma Gardner & Ewa Tryniszewski.
