Six members of Wellington Speech & Debate qualified for the 2022 Florida State Championship Tournament at the Feb. 5 regional qualifier: Jaiden Lagalo-Blinston in both Dramatic Interpretation and Informative Speaking; Samuel Johnson in both Domestic Extemporaneous and Impromptu; Lillian Paulitz in Humorous Interpretation; and Lauren Beer, Colin Gibson, and Justine Galguera in Impromptu Speaking.
The students will represent Wellington at the Florida Forensic League Varsity State Championship at Apopka High School March 5-6.
