How’d we do at Seminole Ridge? Funny you ask! Abigail Montgomery placed first in Novice Dramatic Performance, while McKenna Wickers finished fourth. Nicholas Raney finished second in Extemporaneous Speaking. The Public Forum Debate team of Megan Gonzales and Rylee Bleakley went 4-0 and placed second overall. And in Congressional Debate, Maddie Kaplan took second and Chamber’s Choice Presiding Officer honors, while Liam MacMahon was fourth in his chamber.

Wellington earned five new National Speech & Debate Association degrees. Surpassing the 250-point mark and earning the Degree of Distinction were Daniel Melton and Nicholas Raney. Earning their Degree of Excellence by passing the 150-point plateau were Carolina Aguilera-Garza and Shaida Meier. And earning her Degree of Merit, and NSDA lifetime membership, was Vanessa Gasperi.
