Patrick McDermott advanced to the semifinal round of Congressional Debate at the 2023 Florida Blue Key Invitational in Gainesville.
In addition, Izzy Parisos earned her National Speech & Debate Association Degree of Distinction, surpassing 250 honor points; Richard Tanton earned his Degree of Honor (and will receive his varsity debate letter at the spring banquet); and Gilberto Quintanilla Chapa earned his NSDA membership.
