At the first Southeast Florida Civics and Debate Initiative tournament in 2024, three Wellington students took home honors. In Oral Interpretation, Mia Carreira placed first, while Natalia Figueroa took third in Novice Impromptu Speaking and Richard Tanton placed third in Novice Congressional Debate. Tanton also earned his National Speech & Debate Association Degree of Excelence, surpassing 150 points.
